Using this site

The resources listed here cover a range of community-based family planning topics - from guidance on program planning to information on technical and programmatic issues. We have grouped the resources into a small set of "key FP issues" to facilitate navigation, and some resources are cross-referenced in multiple areas where they don't easily fit into one specific category. We believe that issues such as sustainability and capacity building cut across all of the thematic areas-therefore, you'll find related resources on these topics spread throughout the VRC instead of in their own separate categories.

The top navigational bar provides access to program guidance for USAID's PVO/NGO Flexible Fund, links to stories on successful programs, useful websites that may provide an even greater range of resources than this site alone, a glossary of terms, and useful subscriptions to resources that might keep you informed of new developments in Family Planning on a regular basis.

The site is designed to contain a small, manageable number of resources that are easily found by searching through the links provided. However, because this site relies on links to resources that are housed at other sites, it is not presently key word searchable. To find a specific resource, you must search through the links at the categories provided.

While this Resource Center is designed to provide information to you, it also provides you the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions for new tools.

If you would like to submit a tool, manual or other technical resource on community-based family planning programs to be included here at the FPVRC, please email us at: fpvrc@macrointernational.com. If you have feedback, either positive or constructive, on a tool listed here, please let us know with a message to the same e-mail address. Your suggestions will be reviewed on a regular basis and incorporated as appropriate.

You are also invited to join the Community-Based Family Planning Listserv. USAID's NGO FP/RH Flexible Fund sponsors this listserv to link Flexible Fund grantees, CA partners, the USAID Flexible Fund staff, and others expressing interest in community-based family planning issues. It also serves to disseminate family planning information and encourage discussion on issues related to community-based family planning to a broad audience of experts in community-based FP.
